Specialty Classes

Yoga on High offers a number of specialty classes. These include classes for people with special physical needs (Yoga for Diabetes, for example) and classes that address specific interests other than asana practice (yoga breath practices and meditation, for example). They also include series that run from time to time, focusing on a particular issue like yoga for back pain or how to develop a Mysore practice. Be sure to check these offerings as they may address a topic you haven’t thought to explore.

Big Asana ►

Big Asana™ is a safe space for people with larger bodies who may not have felt welcomed and honored in other movement classes.


In this 6 week series class, students will be invited to explore slow, gentle yoga movements in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It is specifically designed for those experiencing the aftermath of traumatic events in their lives.

Urban Zen ►

This class is appropriate for everyone, whether you are recovering from an illness or injury or are simply in need of tender loving care.

Restorative ►

Otherwise known as the art of relaxation, restorative yoga postures melt away physical and mental tension and deeply rest the mind and body.

Pilates ►

Pilates is a series of dynamic exercises designed by Joseph Pilates. The “Method,” as Pilates enthusiasts sometimes call it, is an excellent enhancement to core stability for the yoga student.

Multiple Sclerosis ►

Yoga is a wonderful practice for people with Multiple Sclerosis, and Yoga on High and the Ohio Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society have been partners for years in offering classes to the MS community.

Kundalini ►

Kundalini Yoga is an uplifting blend of spiritual and physical practices. This yoga style, known as the Yoga of Awareness, incorporates movement, dynamic breathing techniques, meditation, and the chanting of mantras.

Deep Release ►

Deep Release is the Yin to your busy, active life, a practice that encourages a deep sense of physical and emotional wellness.

6-week Yoga for Runners ►

This 6-week series will show you how yoga can transform and support a runner’s body for optimal performance.
