Many people perceive yoga as a movement practice that demands a certain level of flexibility. However, this is not the case. Yoga demands nothing more than a willingness to move, breathe and be comfortable in one’s own body. If you are someone who has considered yoga, but thought you weren’t flexible enough to do it, this is the class for you.
Becoming comfortable with movement in your body is the primary mission of this class. The practice is done primarily on mats, but all poses can be adapted to be done on chairs. The class is suitable for those with no previous yoga experience. It is also suitable for continuing students who would like an opportunity to slow down and explore their inner landscapes. Students may enroll in a 10-week session offered Sundays at 11:30a.
