This class is appropriate for everyone, whether you are recovering from an illness or injury or are simply in need of tender loving care. Urban Zen Integrative Therapy (UZIT) was inspired by Donna Karan and developed by Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee to serve hospital staff, patients and their families. Urban Zen Integrative Therapists use multiple modalities to address the symptoms of PANIC—Pain, Anxiety, Nausea, Insomnia, Constipation and Exhaustion—that accompany disease or injury. These modalities include gentle movements, restorative yoga poses, body scans, breath practices, aromatherapy and Reiki.
If you would like to experience Urban Zen’s approach, join us for one of our weekly drop-in classes. You will be guided through each session, focusing on a different symptom each week. No yoga experience necessary. Two options are available:
Urban Zen: Urban Zen blends gentle movements, restorative yoga poses, body scans, breath practices, aromatherapy and Reiki. You’ll leave each class feeling calm, relaxed, and revitalized. In a world of over-stimulation and over-work, these practices can offer you a meditative sanctuary. 90 minutes.
Lunchtime Urban Zen: Lunchtime Urban Zen allows you to experience the same calming benefits listed above, in a shorter time frame. A wonderful respite from a busy day. 60 minutes.
