Kim Burke has always had a love for movement! She studied ballet from age 3 to 18, and then later in life, upon trying to redevelop her practice as a ballet dancer, she found her way to yoga. Her first yoga class was with her cousin, Marjorie Nesbitt, an Ashtanga yoga instructor. Ten years later, Kim still has a love for the practice.
Kim shares a practice of slow movement that gently warms and opens the body. Students will flow and repeat postures in rhythm with the breath to deepen their practice. At a pace that welcomes slowing down, Kim uses humor and music to create a comfortable and safe environment.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Kim graduated from the Yoga on High Teacher Training Institute, 200 hour RYT, July 2016. She has continued her training in the EMBER™ Trauma Sensitive 100 hour program, graduating in September 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics. She has been married to her husband Corey for one year, has two sons, and two beautiful Grandchildren.
