The Yoga on High Institute is the teacher training arm of Yoga on High, a rich environment in which to study yoga and to learn to teach it. A yoga center with three, big practice rooms in the Short North and multiple satellite locations throughout Columbus, Yoga on High offers the largest curriculum of classes anywhere in Ohio. Those studying to be yoga teachers or honing advanced teaching skills can apprentice with and be mentored by Yoga on High senior staff with specialized expertise in working with varied populations of students of all ages and physical capabilities.
Yoga on High Institute offers a number of programs: 200-and 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training registered through Yoga Alliance; 100 hour specialized credentials in teaching Ashtanga yoga and vinyasa-style classes; a 50-hour prenatal program; and multiple short courses and intensives given by the founding partners of Yoga on High, Marcia Miller, Martha Marcom, and Linda Oshins, YOHI staff and world-renowned guest teachers. In the past, guest faculty has included Rodney Yee, Tim Miller, Richard Freeman, Doug Keller, Cyndi Lee, Ray Long, and Swami Ramananda. Upcoming Program Dates
Beginning in 2013 we will have two 9-Month 200-hour Teacher Training Programs that start:
200-hour Teacher Training 9-Month Weekend * Starts March, 2013
200-hour Teacher Training 9-Month Evening * Starts September, 2013
Both programs include the same material and require the same number of hours to graduate.
500-hour Advanced Teacher Training program has a rolling admission and students may take from 1 to 3 years to complete their studies.
