Rhonda took her first Sanskrit workshop in 1998 and fell in love with this beautiful language. She has studied with several teachers from the American Sanskrit Institute including Cynthia Snodgrass, Vyaas Houston, and Leslie Freyberg, and Simon Chokoisky of the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque. She offers 'Intro to Sanskrit' workshops which make it fun and accessible to learn proper pronunciation of yoga poses and various yoga terms such as the yamas and niyamas, as well as traditional yoga chants.
She is currently studying Ayurveda and will complete her Ayurvedic Health Educator program in the spring of 2016.
She is inspired by her students and continues to find the awe and beauty of yoga with a beginners mind...always endeavoring to "keep her cup empty" and be receptive to what is happening in each moment. Her classes are an eclectic mix of styles and influences, usually with a focus on alignment, ease of mind, breath awareness, and yoga philosophy. She is delighted to share her practice and teaching of yoga with others to further ignite the vast joy and wonder of this beautiful art form.
