Anne Weidinger, BFA, RYT, found yoga about 12 years ago. After many years of professional dance and dance education, she was looking for a movement style that would physically challenge her, while being gentler on her body. The physical benefits were great, but Anne was amazed by the sense of calm and peace yoga brought her. Yoga provides a path of self exploration that continues to reinvigorate her and empowers her to live her life ON PURPOSE.
Anne has been teaching yoga since 2010. Her students have described her as “dynamic”, “inspiring” and “creative”. Through her understanding of movement, breath and alignment, Anne helps her students develop their practice and self awareness. Anne believes different styles of yoga complement each other to quiet the mind. Her classes are thoughtfully prepared, and highlight each style’s central focus. Whether it is Hatha, Ashtanga or Vinyasa, Anne’s classes are a celebration of the endless benefits of yoga.
Anne received her BFA in Dance Performance from The Ohio State University in 2001. She received her Yoga Alliance registered Yoga Teacher Training Certificate with Laurel Hodory in 2011. Anne has studied under many great teachers including Richard Freeman, Bryan Kest, Sri Srivatsa Ramaswami and Sally Roberts. She is always a student—looking forward to the next chapter on her yoga journey! Anne’s discoveries continue to influence her, both as a teacher and yoga practitioner. When not on the mat, Anne loves to bake, work in the garden and spend time with her husband, Andy, family and friends.
