Gina discovered yoga while searching for healing from severe scoliosis, depression, addiction and trauma. Yoga helped Gina channel her personal power through the perseverance of study, nutrition and mindfulness.
Gina earned her 200 hour certification from Balanced Yoga University in 2011. She has since studied with Rodney Yee, Doug Keller, Ray Long, and Swami Ramanda. She continued her studies in Nasik, India, where she began studying the holistic yogic lifestyle at Yoga Vidya Gurukul Ashram in the lineage of Swami Satyananda. While there, Gina deepened her knowledge of yoga therapy, which investigates the connections between breath, movement and rest in order to heal both body and mind. Embracing this lifestyle brought new meaning and purpose to her life.
Gina is inspired to share her insight through her asana classes. She stresses the importance of the energy of a group dynamic along with a personalized practice within the group through modifications suited for individual needs. Gina brings life, laughter and purpose to her classes. Her passion is seeing a transformation in the way people perceive themselves...yoga can change your life if you allow it!
