Sharon values deep connections and playful fun. Sharon believes the world is her yoga mat and that yoga offers a sane and peaceful framework to live purposefully in the 21st century.
Sharon has practiced yoga since 2003, when she took her first Ashtanga class at Yoga on High. Over the years, she has turned her attention towards Hatha, restorative yoga and other gentle practices. Alignment, integration and balance between effort and relaxation inform her approach to asana practice and her classes. Meditation and breathing are woven into her classes as well as yoga philosophy and Sanskrit.
Sharon is an Urban Zen Integrative Therapist, iRest certified (level 1), and is currently pursuing Pranayama Teacher Certification. She brings the gentle practices of Urban Zen Integrative Therapy to school teachers, and social workers in a local social justice agency. She has taught Hatha classes since first receiving her teacher training certification in 2013.
