Stella started practicing yoga in 2003 to help relieve stress. In 2008, she took her first Ashtanga class and immediately fell in love with Ashtanga Yoga. She discovered that not only did yoga relieve symptoms of stress but it boosted her confidence and has led her to do things she thought she could never do.
Inspired by the benefits she received from this practice, she wanted to share this with others. Stella has completed Yoga on High's 200-hour Teacher Training Program (2009) as well as the 300-hour program (2015). In addition to studying with Martha, Marcia and Linda, Stella has studied with Tim Miller, Maty Ezraty, Doug Keller, David Swenson, Kino MacGregor and David Keil.
Stella's mission is to teach students that it's ok if you never achieve your goal pose or enlightenment; the best parts of practicing yoga are the adventures, struggles and relaxing savasanas.
Off the mat, Stella loves running, biking, aerial movement and Muay Thai boxing. She occasionally likes to write bad haikus too:
