Teresa took her first yoga class in 2007, and began practicing Ashtanga/Vinyasa regularly in 2011 to complement her running and bicycling. She quickly was awakened to the mental and emotional benefits of yoga, beyond the physical practice. She completed her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga on High in Vinyasa - falling in love with the practice that brought her out of her busy mind and into her body, and is currently working on her 100-Hour Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher Training certification. She has also had the opportunity to study with Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee. As a yoga teacher, Teresa's aspiration is to encourage her students find unconditional self-love and self-acceptance, no matter what their age, gender, or background, and discover compassion for themselves and all beings around them.
Off the mat, Teresa is a marathon runner and triathlete. She loves to work on her blog (PeaceLoveWholefood.com), travel, cook (and eat!), be outside, and spend time with her family and friends. Teresa has a degree in Business Management from Miami University, and works as a Business Project Manager.
