Rodney returns for his 20th year of teaching in Columbus. This is a special event as many of his students return again and again, making the workshop a deeply meaningful continuing conversation over time. And if you will be attending for the very first time, you’ll find it easy to jump right into the conversation. This year Rodney will concentrate on sequencing for balance and centering in your own practice, in public classes and private sessions. He has also thought about what balance, centering and grounding means in specific environments where yoga is a balm to suffering. He led groups after the hurricanes in New Orleans Haiti, for example, where yoga was offered as part of disaster relief.
In this workshop you will explore the intrinsic nature of different groups of postures and learn how to combine them for balancing effects, addressing the question, “How do you intuit what you need and what your clientele needs to be fully present in the world day by day?” You’ll also participate in challenging asana practices and subtle pranayama sessions as only Rodney leads them. While this workshop is primarily for yoga teachers, non-teachers with an intermediate level practice are welcome.
