Komyo Reiki Kai is a style of traditional Japanese (Hayashi-style) Reiki that Reiki Master Jodi Patton has had the opportunity to learn directly from Hyakuten Inamoto, her teacher and the founder of the Komyo Kai system. Hyakuten Inamoto Sensei presents Reiki as it was understood and commonly practiced in the 1930s in Japan. This approach emphasizes spiritual enfoldment through the practice of Reiki Ryoho, aiming for satori, or enlightenment. In this system, the Komyo Reiki Kai Usui lineage is fairly direct—Usui, Hayashi, Yamaguchi, Inamoto, Patton and then to you.
In this coursework, students will receive the original Komyo Reiki Kai Shoden (First Level) manual, as well as other handouts and materials to support their learning of the historical, practical and beneficial aspects of Reiki Ryoho. Students will be initiated by means of the Komyo Reiki Kai "Reiju" or "attunement" that will empower them to be a Reiki channel. Topics and techniques covered in this workshop include: the history of this system of Reiki; the basics of the Japanese energetic system; therapeutic and spiritual aspects of Reiki Ryoho; Komyo Reiki Kai principles; hand positions for treating oneself and others; and Reiki meditations that are particularly beneficial for practice in this system.
