Yoga and Subtle Body Anatomy
According to the ancient yogis, the physical body is only one aspect of human anatomy—the densest or most gross. Other subtle energetic levels also exist as modern scientists are beginning to acknowledge. Yoga and Ayurveda have described several “energy maps” of the body including the chakras, the nadis, the vayus and the koshas. In this weekend teacher training, you will learn a variety of theoretic constructs that explain the subtle bodies, but the majority of the time will be spent in experiential exploration so that you can directly experience them. We will also discuss why they are important to yoga teachers and how to integrate this material into your classes.
